Charli XCX Embraces a Hell Version of Herself in Mockumentary First Look
The celebrated musician is gearing up for a major big screen onslaught in 2026, starting with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.
In the film, Charli embodies what she calls as a dark version of herself.
It’s the truest representation of the entertainment world that I’ve ever seen, Charli stated.
She further explained in a discussion: It’s far from a live performance documentary, however the inspiration stemmed from the expectation to create one.
A Sneak Peek into The Moment
The debut trailer, launched on this week, blends actual recordings from her recent tour with fictionalized backstage scenes.
The film is overseen and co-authored by the director, who revealed that the plot revolves around a scenario where the singer opted for alternate decisions throughout the publicity of her chart-topping release Brat.

A Hectic Acting Schedule
The film is just one of numerous future movie projects for Charli, who has appeared in three festival films in the current year.

She also joined to appear in the star’s maiden directing project A Tree in Blue.

Next February will also include the release of Emerald Fennell’s version of Wuthering Heights, which will feature fresh tracks from Charli.
Additionally, she will provide music for the film Mother Mary, with Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, scheduled for release next year.
The mockumentary is scheduled to debut on January 30.
