Helicopter Twirls Wildly into Palm Fronds at Frequented California Beach
A chopper hovering above a crowded southern California shoreline abruptly commenced twirling uncontrollably, finally dropping height and smashing into a cluster of palm fronds as spectators watched.
Videos posted online show the chopper commencing to spiral over Huntington Beach then plunging in the direction of the perimeter of the shore, where it gets stuck amidst palms and a set of stairs near the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Information
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five persons were taken to hospital involving two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the crash on the weekend.
Three people on the road were hurt. Information on their injuries were still under review.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.
